De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde hosted Canadian Minister of International Trade Ed Fast and Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines Neil Reeder. The visit which was held last July 22 at the School of Design and Arts Campus was part of Fast’s five-day trade mission to the Philippines and Australia to promote Canada’s interests in the agriculture, defense, information and communication technologies and sustainable technologies sectors. The Canadian officials also witnessed the launch of the partnership between Benilde’s Animation Program and Canada’s Toon Boom Animation. ‘To see Toon Boom investing here, sharing their talent and providing the platform for students is very rewarding for me as a minister,’ shared Fast. ‘I hope to be back again.
