Dear AIS Parents and Teachers, We have received a number of inquiries regarding an article that appeared yesterday in an Egyptian newspaper. The newspaper was reporting that a US-based website had reported a possible terrorist threat to American and western schools in Muslim countries. We have reviewed the original article on the US-based website, reporting an anonymous posting on an extremist website encouraging attacks on international schools. There is no information about any specific or credible threat to our schools, teachers, or students. As always we will continue to monitor information from all sources and will remain vigilant in our own security measures and our coordination with Egyptian law enforcement agencies and the US Embassy.
