Dear ALA Family and Friends, It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Hopi student-athlete, Charles Youvella, passed away earlier this evening. Charles was injured Saturday evening in an Arizona Interscholastic Association state football playoff game at ALA. For the past two days he has been in the St. Joseph Hospital Intensive Care Unit surrounded by family and friends. Please join me in continued prayers for Charles’ family and loved ones in this time of grief. Sometime tomorrow, the Arizona Interscholastic Association will open a special bank account in order to channel financial support. We will pass that information along as soon as it becomes available.
