Dear ALL, As you may or may not know my Uncle Elias’ son, David, was involved in a motor cycle accident which occurred in El Paso, Texas where he is stationed with the United States Army. Approximately 2 weeks ago, David, while on his motorcycle, had an accident that left him practically dead. David sustained a ruptured liver, dislocated shoulder, broken spleen, fractured neck, serious laceration to his right arm, and injury to a kidney which has lost its function. David was Med-Evacted to a hospital where he received two blood transfusions while doctors raced to save his life. It has been two weeks and a few days since the accident and has taken his parents, wife, family members, and some unbelievable friends in the worse emotional roller coaster ride imaginable. Minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, we feared of what was to come from this. We continue to ask the good Lord for guidance as we saw him in his bed, being the fighter that he is, yet so vulnerable. In all of this, we clinged to our faith, asking for a miracle from our loving savior. The good Lord blessed us with giant leap forward. After all his injuries and the saddening news of him having brain trauma, recently after having his breathing tube removed, David uttered his first word to his wife telling her he loved her. Then with little assistance, he displayed the strength that Almighty God has blessed him with when he sat up on his bed, then stood and walked a few step with little assistance of his therapist. This not only amazed him, but doctors and everyone else as well of what he was able to do. David is dramatically improving, but it will be sometime before he is well again. We are asking you all if you can please financially help David and his family in any way you can. David is married and his wife recently had a baby boy.
