Dear All, Based on due discussion with various people, organizations and officers, and analysis of the issue, Chanakya Mandal Pariwar has decided on the following course of action. -----COURSE OF ACTION----- 1. Contribute material help right now, and not physical help. 2. Contribute physical help in near future. -----REASONS----- Despite several students wanting to go for physical help immediately, we have decided to wait because of the following reasons. 1. Core areas such as Rudraprayag, Guptakashi etc. which have been hit worst cannot be properly reached even by army individuals yet. 2. There is no dearth of human resource in Uttarakhand right now. Many NGOs and volunteer groups have already reached. 3. Untrained civilians like us will have limited use and on the other hand will create strain on the available resources there. 4. HR is going to be needed for a long duration. Many groups have told us that volunteers rush in right now, and are absent after some time when they are still needed. Chanakya Mandal Pariwar can fill in this gap. -----EXPECT UPDATES BY TODAY EVENING----- 1. List of material to be contributed will be put up today evening. 2. Other details such as point of collection, deadline etc. will also be given by then. 3. We will also give guidelines about how individuals not affiliated with Chanakya Mandal can help out by evening.
