Dear All Researchers Today we had a fruitful meeting with Dr. - TopicsExpress

Dear All Researchers Today we had a fruitful meeting with Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS (I/C) for Science and Technology at his North Block Office at New Delhi. We had a healthy discussion with him, he told us that our file is cleared from S&T department and our fellowship hike is few signatures away from getting implemented. We made him aware about the proposed date of protest. He suggested us to postpone the protest as on that day also he would have to say the process is almost done and hike would be implemented within a week or so. Upon our persuasion, he noted down to take our matter to the finance ministry (for which he had an appointment of 5 PM of today itself) and then talked to Prof. K. VijayRaghavan and we have got the written assurance (please find attached files) that our hike would be done in less than 30 days (In writing, they have given the maximum possible time frame, keeping all the probable, plausible delays in mind) but assured us for a timely announcement of hike in fellowship. He further assured us to revert back to him if we are not satisfied with any of the process done, but denied to divulge the details of an underprocess file (when we asked for the quantum of hike). After getting honest verbal and written assurances of timeframe (and realizing complex mechanism of multiple authorities concerned) and keeping full faith in the words of Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS (I/C) for Science & Technology, Mr. Ananth Kumar, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Prof. K. VijayRaghavan, Secretary, DST & DBT and of Dr. K. Brakaspathy, Scientific Advisor, DST and all the relevant authorities with whom we had discussions and later consulting with many of the representatives all across the India, we have come to a conclusion of postponing and deferring the Nationwide protest of 24th September. Hopefully, we would not be disappointed with the authorities and we would get our dues in a reasonable time frame. Otherwise, we would be forced to come on the streets to ask for our dues.
