Dear Brother & Sisters in Jesus, TABOR YOUTH FEST was a marvelous experience of the faith in Jesus . Sessions that include inspiring talks, moving testimonies, vibrant gospel music, daily celebration of the Eucharist and Eucharistic adoration. The retreat was lead by Fr.John , Fr. Francis , Fr. Sunil , Fr. Joel, Fr, Rajesh , Bro.Tonny , Br. Milton & Tabor team.The music ministries include the Tabor music ministry, All for Jesus band from Goa. Groups of youth from different parts of Mumbai , Goa , Nasik , Gujarat attended the fest and experience the mighty outpouring of grace in these days. The theme of the Tabor Youth Fest was “With the Holy Spirit and Fire” (Mt 3:11). Sessions included inspiring testimonies, talks based on the Scriptures and vibrant gospel music. Each day was be crowned by a grand celebration of the Eucharist and Eucharistic Adoration. “The renewal of the youth is the renewal of family and of the Church. The youth are bold and dare to make the radical decision to live for God. It was when the youth retreats began in Tabor that we found the participation increasing dramatically. After their retreat, the youth went back to their homes and communities to live their vibrant faith and returned back this time bringing their curious friends.” No wonder that the May youth retreat week will be on a much bigger level and all the youths from all over the country and abroad are invited at Tabor Bhavan - Maharashtra. At the retreat the youth heard the Word of God all the days of their retreat. It is indeed by listening to the Word of God and experiencing Christ that they became disciples of Christ. St Paul in his letter to the Colossians writes: “If you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, let Him be your doctrine. Be rooted and built up in Him, let faith be your principle as you were taught and your thanksgiving overflowing.” This happen during your days here. In this age, the youth have to face every temptation. Hence it is all the more critical to “be rooted in Jesus Christ”. No man or ideology can save us. Only God can. Sin may be present but God’s grace abounds more. Whatever the sinful situation of our lives may be, God has raised us up in Christ Jesus and so we have to rejoice and praise God. We are saved by Christ Jesus and we form the Kingdom of God in this world. We shall live our faith in the community that He has formed for us which is the Church. Here in this gathering they had a small replica of the church. Here the Lord preaches His word through His ministers. In this community He gave the grace for us to be united in Him. It is here that they became children of God in Our Lord Jesus Christ. Their faith was revive ,Youth listened to the Word of God and the Word shall enlighten them. It was not the youth who will be changed themselves, but it is the Lord who will change them. It was the Spirit of the Lord that prompted them to be converted, to come into the way who is Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ said “The word which I speak to you is Spirit and Life” (John 6:63). The Spirit makes us a child of God, thereby transforming our human reality into a divine reality. Those who have named the Centre have done it rightly because this is a Tabor Divine Retreat Centre. People who come here, become like God by listening to the Word of God. By practising the life of Christ you become really Divine. You become sons and daughters of God and true representatives of Christ in this world. Only His life shall enliven you. It is His love that shall unite you. If you accept this reality in faith you will be rooted and built up on Christ, you will be living by the principle of faith, you will be overflowing with thanksgiving. Tabor Youth Fest was an opportunity for all of them who have a faith experience and to be enriched by God who grants that special privilege of faith within the Church. It was a time of special gratitude and appreciation for the spiritual transformation taking place within the Catholic Church through this spiritual renewal Tabor center.
