Dear Chan Wai Dont feel too sad for the Harcourt Village to disappear soon, very soon. The OCCUPY is an important milestone for the Umbrella Movement or indeed the I Want A Real Universal Suffrage Movement. The 74 or more days of OCCUPY are monumental in the development of democracy for Hong Kong. So much conviction, cohesiveness, courage and creatvity have been unprecedentally displayed spontaneously by many of the citizens. Young people in particular have shown much commitment to the Movement. No clearance can ever dishonour the OCCUPY in anyway. You, being an unwavered comrade to the Movement, have done much both physically and spiritually for the Movement. Your melancholy in seeing things seemingly retreating is well understood. But then the 74 or more days of OCCUPY have been built on by you and people like you. The development of democracy for this city has now been well founded by these 74 or so days. We just need to keep up with our efforts in sustaining the movement by other means with the same qualities. So, Chan Wai, do let your melancholy rest and let your stamina smile again. Like what Scarlet OHara (Vivien Lee in Gone with the Wind) says at the end of the film, Tomorrow will be another day!. Best May (@ Taipei airport)
