Dear Customers , We would like to inform you that customs offices in Honduras have been taken over by Force Anti- Evasion Task which are led by DEI . This initiative was launched March 3 by the current President Juan Orlando Hernández . For these reasons experiencing exhaustive revisions of all the cargo in search of tax evasion. One of the government objectives being to increase tax contributions by decreasing tax evasions. Added to the above, in early 2014 Puerto Cortes changed its operating system from ENP which was government operated to OPC being operated by a Philippine company. This change has caused many delays in containers dispatch, as well as many increases in the operational cost. Between both the new operations system in Puerto Cortes and the Anti-Evasion Force task, It is anticipated that delays will stretch through the month of March, although not yet confirmed.
