Dear Delegates, I am Saumya Sudhir and I will be serving as an Additional Director of the Civil Rights Council. I will take up the role of Martin Luther King Jr., a pre-eminent leader in the Civil Rights Movement. His primary occupation as a clergyman is sure to lend a pacifist perspective to the Civil Rights Council. I am a 12th grade student in the Humanities stream. My passion for history makes my attachment to this committee even stronger, and I am really looking forward to participating in what promises to be a wonderful hypothesis of how the events of 1955, USA, could have turned out if a few major incidents had been different. I love music, dance, writing, and the company of people that I’m close to. I like to treat every new challenge as an opportunity to learn something new, and I am convinced that through this committee I will gain a new outlook on the Civil Rights Movement. I have no doubt that the delegates in this committee will cherish the opportunity to step into the shoes of a significant leader and play around with the crises we toss them, with the ultimate goal of acquiring equality for their brethren.
