Dear FB friends: Tomorrow I am spending the day praying and fasting for my nation. I have sensed God leading me to this as I realized that when Christ returns he will not only judge us individually, but he also will judge the nations. Without Godly leadership the United States risks losing its Christian Heritage. For a long time I have thought of us as a "post Christian" nation, but after reading scripture I am convinced that it is never too late to repent; nor is it too late to revive what may seem like the dead. For these reasons what I am praying and seeking God for is for Godly leadership to arise to lead our nation, for our nation to declare unashamedly that we are Christian and for us to identify with the overarching principles of Christianity, for our nation to confess our sins and seek forgiveness, and for the restoration of our strength, creativity, ingenuity, and hope. I am also praying for jobs for the unemployed, food for the hungry, and shelter for the homeless, and healing for the wounded and broken-hearted. I am extending an invitation to my friends to join me in this. I have already been doing this for a couple of weeks, spending Thursdays in fasting and prayer and I am experiencing the blessings of obedience to this task. I pray that you also will experience those blessings whether you are called to this task or to another. God is good, of this I am certain. I love you all!
