Dear Family and Friends, In Marks Memory on the 9th anniversary of his death, Sept 21st Im running a 10k for The Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children. The Lighthouse was a place where my boys and I could go and be surrounded by others who understood how debilitating this process is. I cannot begin to tell you how important it is not to feel alone. Although we had the love and care from from family and friends, the reality of what grief really is and feels like - astounded us. The Lighthouse Program for Grieving Children was a place where my boys and I could go and be surrounded by others who understood how debilitating this process is. I cannot tell you you how important it is to not feel alone but to be understood. The facilitators guided us on this new pathway that we found ourselves unwillingly on to finding our new normal. The importance of such a program is not understood until one finds oneself in need of of it. Thank you so very much for contributing to such an important program in our Community. Please believe me when I say it is doing wonderful and impactful work and helping so many in their journey towards healthy fulfilling lives.
