Dear Fellow Biafrans, Former President Obasanjo wrote President Jonathan a public letter with title -Before it is too late and today let it be on record that i am writing this group of selected Igbo intellectuals ,men and women of accomplishments to remind them of God expectation from them.It is no longer news that ndigbo has in abundance intellectual and material capacity to form a country today not tomorrow.Everybody desires freedom!!!! Even animal wants to be free.Who is holding NDIGBO from having her own country? Ofcourse- we are holding ourselves nobody else!!! As a young man,i hardly can understand why our elites are too afraid to save the future of their children.I hardly can understand why these men and women who should know better than me could so timidly hide inside their houses while our collective identity is about to be extinguished. I could not understand why these educated men and women hide inside their research centres abroad while the illiterates are making public policies and laws at home.I could not believe myself that these Igbo leaders of thought were unaware that their children abroad cannot sustain their father indigenous identity. Before now the name Biafra is associated with war.In Nigeria,only touts and the unemployed are associated with the name Biafra struggle(courtsey of MASSOB).Many igbos are too afraid to mention the name -Biafra because of fear of losing Jobs,contracts or favour from the owners of Nigeria.Bilie court case has miraculously removed such fears. The question to Ndigbo is simple: Are you happy working and develping other countries? Are you happy that your children are scattered all over the world begging for odd jobs? Are you comfortable with the situation in Nigeria? Are you happy that Boko Haram is about to take over our Land? If Nigeria breaks tomorrow ,what will be the fate of Ndigbo as the yorubas intellectuals are prepared,the hausa elites are ready.the Ijaws are set to go? If Nigeria breaks into war tomorrow,who will be our voice,who will lead us? Do we know that fools walk the street because the wisemen are hiding inside the house? This is the time we need Leadership.A Leader who will operate under the sacred name of Biafra not Igbo.Such Leader must emerge today not tomorrow.Time is ticking and delay is most dangerous.Our houses at home are on fire and this is no time for blame game.The yorubas control the media in Nigeria,the Hausa has BBC hausa and another satellite TV station in the offing.We need a local and international station to unite the biafrans across the globe.Media is a most powerful instrument to bring everybody to the table.Nigeria will go into hiding if 5% of Igbo men and women of accomplishment speak in favour of Biafra.If the Court case is given worldwide publicity.The world is afraid of Biafrans and the name Biafra can open any closed door but we must speak with one voice.Enough of all this naked dance in the name group supremacy.
