Dear Friends, Family, and Vigil Supporters, My daughter Jennifer - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, Family, and Vigil Supporters, My daughter Jennifer could not have faced her cancer year with greater courage, faith, and positivity, yet was greatly disappointed by the complete lack of public, product, and media attention dedicated to lung cancer support. In honor of Jennifer, I am determined to build greater awareness and advocacy for lung cancer in the greater Pittsburgh area. Please forgive the mass email (I apologize if I missed anyone), but I need to reach out to as many people as possible to share information and receive feedback about the lung cancer vigil I am organizing with the support of the Lung Cancer Alliance and many others, including friends, family, coworkers medical practitioners, support group leaders, local business owners, and lung cancer survivors and caregivers. Please review and share this email and the attachments with anyone who you feel might have interest in attending and/or donating to support our vigil and the valuable work of the Lung Cancer Alliance. More information about the Lung Cancer Alliance and links to register and support the vigil may be found at lungcanceralliance.org, shinealightonlungcancer.org, or brackenridgevigil.kintera.org. I am overwhelmingly grateful to those of you who have already offered contributions and look forward with great excitement, and a bit of nervousness, to the vigil on November 14th. I hope to fill our church with people motivated to learn more about how they can help. Part of our fundraising will be through a silent auction of themed gift baskets. Many thanks to those who have already offered to contribute and to those who may choose to reach out in this way. Please get in touch with me to arrange the delivery of the baskets and/or donated goods by Saturday, November 2nd. To those of you who have been assisting in the planning stages: I have scheduled a final organizational meeting on Monday, October 21st @ 6 PM at my church, Trinity United Methodist in Brackenridge. Please let me know if you are able to attend or if you have information or ideas you would like shared. Thank you to those of you who have offered to donate your services, lung cancer awareness items, and/or monies toward vigil expenses. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, questions, or concerns. Please spread the word! Please pray for a successful vigil! Thank you for your advice, love, and support! Beth
