Dear Friends, It is with a heavy heart that I must report that in - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, It is with a heavy heart that I must report that in January, my building was purchased by a new owner, and I have been trying very hard to negotiate a reasonable lease that makes fiscal sense and compares fairly with like properties. Unable to come to an agreement, I will unfortunately be leaving by the end of the month. I see this as an opportunity to explore other locations and projects and to find the perfect location for a new restaurant. Bistro 157 has achieved its reputation for being a great neighborhood restaurant not only because of its location, but because of its staff, clientele and community. I have had the incredible great fortune to work with some of Northern Indiana’s finest professionals, and thank them wholeheartedly for their dedication that goes above and beyond expectations. I have also had the privilege to cook for and entertain many a cohort of very lovely people. Peter Jennings joined us back in the day after 9/11 and just recently, we served the Prime Minister of Latvia! How cool is that? I am so incredibly thankful for the support we have earned and the wonderful friends that I have made in Valparaiso. I look forward to the next endeavor and ask you to encourage your friends (by sharing this) to follow Bistro 157 on Facebook so that you can stay abreast of my quest for the perfect spot. Please keep us in your thoughts during this transition and do come see us at Bistro! Be sure to use those gift cards before we go. My staff and I are incredibly grateful for your support over the last 13 years. Over Spring, I hope that you will come see me at Bartlett’s Gourmet Grill, our upscale roadhouse in Beverly Shores. You will also see my staff pop up this summer at other great local eateries. Thanks again for keeping this positive and supporting my talented, hard working crew. This is not good bye, its see ya later!
