Dear Friends Pakistan Youth and Community Association Leicester strongly condemns the brutal and inhumane attack on school children in Peshawar, Pakistan on 16 December 2014. We are devastated by the loss of innocent lives, the vast majority of whom were school children. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their lives or injured in this barbaric attack. To commemorate this sad incident, a candle lit vigil is being held for the children and their teachers killed and injured in this horrific act of terrorism. Friday, 19th December 2014. 4.30pm at Town Hall Square, Leicester LE1 9BG. This is an event for all communities to stand together in silence or in prayer for all victims of violence. We urge you to bring your family, friends and anyone else you can think of. We want to show a massive act of solidarity and respect. This is not a protest or a demonstration of any sort. This is a peaceful display of unity and solidarity. It is to honour those that have been taken from us. Please invite your friends to this event and anyone who wants to come. This isnt about being Pakistani or Muslim, this is for anyone who opposes such acts of barbarism. No political party flags/banners or slogan chanting is permitted. This is a time for us to unite. *If you wish to hold a candle, please do bring a candle with you. Thanks for your support. Mustafa Malik
