Dear Friends, The Subramaniar Temple of Kuala Selangor in association with Sutra Foundation, conclude 2014 with a very interesting collaboration which involves 5 other dance institutions from all over Malaysia. The dancers will perform in a dance festival titled - From Alarippu to Moksha 2014 which will feature the two major classical temple dance styles of bharatanatyam and odissi. From Alarippu to Moksha will be performed in the beautiful setting of the golden-hued Subramaniar Temple, Kuala Selangor. This community-dance project aims at bringing dance to the those outside Kuala Lumpur and also to encourage urbanites to visit the historic town of Kuala Selangor which was the old royal capital of Selangor.
