Dear Friends, We feel happy to share with you that in barely a few days time, our team at Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD) has been able to hand over hundreds of Water Bottles, ORS Packets, Small Bandages, Toothpastes, Crape Bandages, Toothbrushes, Soaps, Savlon Liquid Antiseptics, Cotton Role for Dressing, Torches as relief aid to the Peoples Welfare Society. We had learnt from their post on the group wall that an ERT (Emergency Response Team) of the NGO is leaving for Srinagar on September 18 (Tomorrow). We contacted the NGO and as per their list of requirements, we have delivered the requisite items by our own internal contributions from amongst members. In the midst of school exams and college placements; such a drive could be executed; thanks to the special efforts of Prashant and the Coordination Team. Would also urge everyone to support our own Honorable Secretary Irrigation in Govt. of Uttarakhand and MADs long time well wisher Dr. Pradyot who is on special deputation at Srinagar on the request of the Central Govt.s Cabinet Secretary to aid their State Govt, in combating the disaster. It may be noted that Dr. Pradyots efforts during the Uttarakhand Disaster had won much acclaim, which is why he was chosen for this tough task.
