Dear Friends of Neighborhood House, Neighborhood House is Madison’s oldest community center. For many years, our community center has provided a safe, educational, and fun Summer Day Camp for our children. As you know, our Day Camp does not turn any children away due to inability to pay our camp fee. Our scholarship program was developed and implemented to help provide ALL children the opportunity to participate in summer day camp. Last year, generous donors like you helped to make it possible for us to offer scholarship assistance to many of our children. Our scholarship program is based on MMSD Free and Reduced Lunch Program. This past summer almost 90% of our children qualified for scholarships. Our Day Camp Program is a wonderful experience. Each week of camp has a different theme which include Science Week, Animals and Insects Week, Greek Culture Week, Roman Mythology Week, Nutrition Week, Green Week, Music & Art Week, Incredible Books Week, and Sports & Recreation Week. Our camp has a special focus on enhancing summer learning and reducing the achievement gap that exists within our community. Please consider making a donation to our scholarship program. The need has never been greater! Donations of ANY amount will help us continue to be a positive summer activity for our children this summer.
