Dear Girl Scout Parents and Guardians, 10/6/13 I want to let - TopicsExpress

Dear Girl Scout Parents and Guardians, 10/6/13 I want to let you all know about the Fall Sales that the girls will start very soon, like this SATURDAY. As we told the girls at our meeting today, the fall sales are to friends and family only. It should be a somewhat relaxed experience, a bit more frantic for the leaders; but a great way to build courage and confidence for all involved. Today’s meeting focused on the fall sales. PLEASE DO NOT START SALES UNTIL SATURDAY!! One of the Girl Scout’s law is: be honest and fair. This is one time to instill in your girl to be honest and fair by waiting till the start date of Saturday October 13th to start. It’s not fair when one girl starts early. There are some main requirements to selling. Only registered girls can participate. ALL REGISTRATION FORMS AND FUNDS (DUES) ARE DUE by OCT 11th. Dues are $15. Most of you have turned in the registration forms and dues already. Feel free to leave the forms with the front desk and Diane will deliver them to Malinda. Malinda will be at the school at 5:30 to hand out order packets, answer any questions, and ensure all permission forms are signed. A second requirement is that the permissions slip be signed by a parent or guardian. The girls will be unable to sell without this form. Today’s meeting focused on sales and I am sure your girl is very excited. Again, meet Malinda at the school at: 5:30 PM. A third requirement is meet all the deadlines. Enclosed in those packets that you will receive after signing the permission forms is a deadline sheet to help us all. The dates are written on the envelope and the on the order form. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE contact Megan if you have any questions with the fall sales. It can be overwhelming at first, with all the different things going on. I only ask that you don’t call past 9 PM as I work at 530 AM. If you are curious and have access to the internet, you can look up falls sales at: girlscouts.org or checkout our local council (Montana and Wyoming) at gsmw.org Other items related to Girl Scouts: There is a snack bucket that we use for snacks. We ask that you provide enough snacks for 20 people. Anything from fruit snacks, to cookies, to cheese and crackers, to veggies is just fine. Drinks are nice, but not necessary. Having snacks rotate from girl to girl helps keep the costs down. OCT 21st - Celebrate Juliette Lowe’s birthday (a few days early). Also, participate in some things that were favorites of Juliette Low’s: basketball if weather permits, or other games. OCT 25th– Meeting for Juniors only! No meeting for Daisy and Brownies. FALL SALES FORMS DUE. Turn in all order forms, address books, and money for magazines. Malinda will be at the school for her Juniors meeting and will take all the forms until 4 PM. If you need to turn them in earlier, or want to turn them in earlier, please contact a leader or co-leader. Megan will have to submit orders by October 29th and cannot accept late forms. FORMS MUST BE TURNED IN BY 4 PM ON FRIDAY THE 25TH. NOV 4th – Standard meeting for Brownies and Daisies. NOV 8th – Juniors Meting. NOV 18th – Daisy/Brownie meeting. Continue work on Girl Scout Promise and Law. Daisy’s will work on two petals and Brownie’s will work on their journey. We will start to discuss the investiture ceremony, where girls are invested into Girl Scouts for the first time, or rededicated if they are returning. Possibly make fall window pictures for the local bank and library. NOV 25th – Investiture/Rededication Ceremony. This is potluck at the Thompson Falls Senior Center. Further information to follow.
