Dear HfH supporters, Vicky and I have decided, due to lack of foster carers coming forward, we are temporarily closing to any intakes until the situation changes. However as rescue is close to our hearts, we aim to help out and do our bit with other deserving rescues, which of course we will keep you up dated on. In the background I have been helping Doglost by searching for a missing dog close to where I live, a gorgeous 3 yr old Rodesian Ridgeback called RIGGS (MK18). I managed to catch a 10 yr old Whippet called Poppy in a trap in the same area 2 years ago after being on the run for almost 6 weeks. I have met many wonderful people by doing this, all of who are willing to give up their time and money to put up posters and search etc. It has become obvious to me however that there is a distinct lack of LARGE humane traps about to catch dogs anything bigger than a Spaniel! Therefore HfH wants to buy a humane trap built to our own design that will be based here in the Bucks area, for anyone who needs it through Doglost. Obviously HfH are paying the bulk, but the quote I have had back this morning, is about £90 more than I was expecting if Im honest! Baring in mind this trap is 5 long x 2.5 wide x 3 high, so pretty big and it comes with a set of wheels for ease of movement, it will take the size of a greyhound or lurcher with ease. All I ask of you is just £1 towards the cost. Help us to help others! I know I would feel a lot better knowing that if I lost my greyhound girl or Vicky lost one of her big Lurcher boys, there was a trap out there we knew we could use, as Im sure you all would too?
