Dear Mad Mike: I am considering buying a 1911 - style pistol not chambered in .45 ACP. Is that ok because it is a Coonan in .357 Magnum? --Confused ~~ Dear Closeted: Lets look at this here. You want a 1911, which is a genetically perfect .45 ACP, but, you want to load it with .357 Magnum. You know what works best for a .357? A Smith & Wesson or a Ruger. Sure, there were revolvers in .45 ACP, too, but those were wartime exigencies. So, youre saying you like the 1911, but due to the peacetime exigencies of no hordes of Boche and too much money, you want to get a crossdresser. Well, theres actually nothing wrong with that, and Coonan makes a fine gun. Proceed.
