Dear Nanay, Happy birthday! Youve never expected any reward or thanks for doing your job and performing your diligent duty as a mother—and thats only one of the many reasons why you are so wonderful. But, its impossible for me to not talk about what you have done for me, especially on a day so special as this one. You make me who I am today. Without you, I could not consider myself successful in life. Youre one of the most unique women I know. Ive never met and will never meet anyone like you for the rest of my life. Even today, I feel a special kind of safety only with you, when I lay my head on your shoulder. Thank you for always hearing my problems without trying to force your opinions or decisions on me. I admire the way you give your advice without trying to give any type of criticism. Ill make sure to follow your path when I become a parent. You are my role model.
