Dear Ones, I recently received an advance copy of my new book with Ahlea Khadro and Heather Dane—Loving Yourself to Great Health—and I am so pleased with the beautiful cover. It is an illustration of a delicious selection of healthy vegetables dancing in a formation that’s in the shape of a heart, which is above a large steel cooking pot, sitting on a bed of colorfuil fruit. This wonderful cover tells you exactly what our book is about—loving yourself by feeding your soul with positive thoughts and nourishing your body with healthy and colorful foods. As you’ll see from these photos, we had so much fun doing the cover shoot. And we had just as much fun meeting many evenings at my house, discussing what wonderful and healthy tips we wanted to include in this book for you. Heres a behind the scenes photo from the cover shoot for our new book. Thats Ahlea Khadro next to me, our handsome photographer Donald Scott of Pacific Plus, and Heather Dane. We believe that health is a reflection of your inner self. Here is a simple health assessment from our book Loving Yourself to Great Health. Will you take a moment now to assess your health by checking off the statements that are true for you? A Simple Health Assessment for You You feel good about yourself just the way you are. You feel good about your body—you are not always feeling like you want to fix or change something about it. You are not concerned by any symptoms; that is, you don’t have chronic aches, pains, addictions, or low moods. You like yourself and you like other people—you are not complaining about life and the people around you. There is an ease to your life, and things seem to flow easily. You feel connected to nature and to other people. You choose food and beverages that are healthy for your body and that make you feel good. You are not taking any medications. You have a sense of balance in your life—you feel at ease and are not overwhelmed with work, to-do lists, or stress. You give and receive in a balanced way; in other words, you are not feeling as if you give and give and never get anything in return. You have good relationships with people you trust and whom you feel you can count on. You feel that you take care of yourself very well. You have an inner guidance system that you trust. How did you do, dear ones? Remember, if you checked off one or more items, we’d like to congratulate you. Chances are, you may have also noticed some opportunities for improvement.
