Dear Piden, Thank you very much for your review in details. “Why go to Halong Bay with Indochina Sails” Simply because they are true professionals and particularly efficient at what they do. More precisely: a. Reservation: we exchanged numerous emails with Ms Phuong prior to confirming the tour and she was very fast and precise in answering our questions. She even met us at our hotel prior to the next morning pick-up to settle our account and provide information to last minute questions we had. She gave us a solid impression of Indochina Sails right from the very start. b. Junk quality: we reserved the suite on the Valentine junk for a 3D/2N tour of Halong Bay. Of course the three-room cabin was an amazing surprise for a small five-cabin junk. This was definitely a five-star accommodation. The boat was in superb condition. The food was better and certainly presented in a much more elaborate way than a lot of Hanoi restaurants we had been to. c. Customer service: attention to detail and customer relations are most certainly a way of life at Indochina Sails. We were pampered more than we could possibly imagine by the staff. And on a Saturday night, we even had the visit from the General Manager welcoming us on board and inquiring about our satisfaction level after the first day on the boat. To borrow a business expression: «It all starts at the top» … and what we saw from the top at Indochina Sails was very convincing. As if this was not already enough, on the last day of the cruise when we returned to our hotel in Hanoi with the Indochina Sails minivan, Ms Phuong was there to welcome us back and enquire about our satisfaction with the cruise we had just gotten off from. Needless to say we have never been treated with such care in any of the cruises we have registered for in the 43 different countries we visited around the world. What an impressive performance! Are there things to improve? Yes of course. We found that the English level of some employees was minimal. One tour guide, who was obviously well intended with all guests, was nevertheless a bit of a challenge to understand. But this is something we experienced in most of South East Asia, not just in Vietnam. Finally, we were not so thrilled by the stopover to the Pearl Farm which is informative but also a bit geared towards getting tourists to spend quite a bit of money on local pearl products. We just didn’t - and were not pushed at all into buying products. But our overall experience of the 3D/2N tour of Halong Bay on the Valentine junk was absolutely brilliant. We are very thankful to Indochina Sails, their GM and Ms Phuong for a marvellous cruise and a tremendous customer experience. Good job Indochina Sails!
