Dear Springs at Greystone residents: We all live in communities. - TopicsExpress

Dear Springs at Greystone residents: We all live in communities. Every community has many diverse members with many diverse habits, pastimes, wants and needs. In order to maintain order in any community, large or small, rules have to be established, and people in authority have the responsibility to enforce them. To live in harmony with our neighbors, it is incumbent upon all of us to abide by the rules-- some that we like and understand, and some that we don’t. In the case of the pool rules, we admit our failure in the past to enforce the rule. Pool hour rules have always been posted and enforced throughout our entire national portfolio of apartment communities. Failing to strictly enforce these pool hour rules was a mistake that we let go on for too long. In an attempt to do her job, our property manager has been disparaged both on this internet forum and in person, and the tactics that are being employed are not acceptable. Honest disagreement and respectful debate is welcome; but, cyberbullying is not. We are proud of the dignity our property manager has shown in a very difficult situation. She has taken many hits while protecting the privacy of those residents who have been lodging complaints, because they don’t want to suffer the same treatment she has endured. Thank you to those of you who have shown her your support, it is profoundly appreciated. I would like to request that those who are most vocally upset consider the human being behind the title of Property Manager. Just like each of our residents, our team members deserve to be treated with courtesy and civility. As many of you note in posts, the job of a property manager is very difficult: mistakes will be made, personalities will conflict, and problems may arise. Ultimately, our home office and senior management team are very proud of the job she is doing. Therefore, I repeat my earlier request: If you wish to lodge a reasoned and respectful complaint about our policies and/or our team at Springs at Greystone, please feel free to contact me. Thank you.
