Dear Tree Cutting Guy, Thank you for not minding my children being your audience as you cut down the enormous elm across the street and for taking the bow when they lost their minds and cheered as the trunk finally came down. Thank you for letting us approach you (once the coast was clear) to ask some questions, and then taking the time to bring the kids over to the trunk to teach them about the pith, the rings and all the secrets that trees can tell us. It was a simple but incredibly kind thing on your part. It means a lot when community members take the time to truly *see* the children in their community. Also, thanks for that solid when you told my daughter that a chain saw is not an appropriate ninth birthday gift. I appreciate that one. Much thanks, Melissa
