Dear brothers and sisters, here is the wonderful poem that won the first prize of the different competitions during the 72H of the English Club: Civility and the development of Burkina Faso Oh brothers and sisters! Time has come to change Time has come to arrange We must change our manners Because Burkina is in danger, People don’t respect traffic lights Without knowing they put their lives in danger And neglect other people’s rights People burn tires on roads And forgetting accidents produced on these roads My nation is in danger What causes this danger? Many civil servants don’t go to their offices Many traders don’t pay taxes Corruption is many people’s key to success Though this is development’s main duress My land is no longer the same What a shame! Some people make their own justice Because there is never fair justice Some people never participate in elections Because there is never fair election Tension is rising And civility is lowering Pupils go on strike and burn Because their condition don’t allow them to learn There is no dust in for rubbish As even ditches are occupied with rubbish Time has come to change our mind If not Burkina will always behind Instead of doing new things The State will always repair broken things Life will always be expensive Because repairing those things is expensive But I hope after hearing my voice People will make a good choice They will make peace and civility And our nation will be in prosperity Incivility must be stopped Before development be stopped.
