**Dear friends** As very few people know, it’s time my family reaches out. -- As you may remember, Mom finished 10 rounds of whole-brain radiation due to 7 rapidly growing brain tumors which had developed while we focused on her chest. On October 23, 2013, we received the results of both the follow-up brain MRI and chest CT scan. The brain tumors had responded well and were either stable or slightly smaller. The chest, which we had not been worried about, gave us different news. The most gut-wrenching day of this entire journey was THAT day. The cancer STOPPED responding to the radiation and has actually already grown back a bit and is now in the lower part of the lung and has spread to the right lung. Chemo failed, radiation failed. We were presented with the options, all of which were known to not be effective and mostly experimental, and our Dr’s recommendation was that I make the call to hospice. He assured us that he could treat the symptoms very well and keep her comfortable, but it needed to be understood that the cancer was taking over and would soon steal her life. Mom said ‘No.’ She said she would not simply lay down and give up, not now, not ever. We hugged, we held each other, and then we pulled ourselves together and walked out of the office. HOPE: One week later, we met with Dr. Allibone at the Houston Wellness Clinic. He believes in her and is passionate about doing anything and everything possible to give her body the power and ability to heal and fight this cancer as it was created to do. She is so unrecognizably weak now among cognitive difficulties not because of the cancer, but because of the ‘treatments.’ It was a risk we chose to take in the beginning not having enough confident knowledge or financing for any other options. We have done so much damage to her by going through so much toxic ‘treatment,’ but there IS still a chance, there IS still hope, and it IS still possible to fight this cancer NATURALLY. All we need is a sliver of hope. We have had to go all in and be extremely aggressive with taking IV therapies and a plethora of oral supplements EVERY DAY as well as completely change her diet to a very strict protocol. Because these are considered alternative treatments, insurance companies dont work directly with them and therefore do not cover the costs. Everything we do is paid at the time of treatment and by us, however we can find to do that. The cost of her treatment totals over $4,000/PER MONTH. I am doing everything I can just to keep the roof over our heads and the right groceries in my home to fuel her body. I love her more than anything in the world, she is my best friend, inspiration, mentor and angel, and I will fight for her with all I am. No matter how long I live, no matter what I do for her, it will still never amount to a measurable fraction of what shes done for me in my lifetime. I will not quit on her, and I will not allow money to be the reason she doesnt get a chance to live and continue helping others in whatever time God allows her to have with me and all of the people whose lives shes touched. She is HOPE and FAITH and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, and she has given her life to serving other people. Sadly, her suffering is not from cancer but from the non-stop toxic ‘treatment.’ Please, PLEASE, help me save her life!!
