Dear friends, I’m very excited to announce that I have filed my papers to seek the federal NDP nomination in Vancouver Granville. This is obviously a big decision, but after much consideration and many conversations with the people closest to me I know that it’s the right one. I firmly believe that the NDP is the only party with the experience and judgement necessary to responsibly replace the Harper government. As a 22-year-old who only recently made Vancouver my home, I bring a new perspective to a brand new riding and I am especially eager to listen and engage with constituents on issues of national importance. In particular, I will fight for equal and effective votes for all Canadians, a principled foreign policy that we can be proud of, and responsible economic growth that protects our environment and empowers ordinary people. To make the changes Canada deserves we need to work together and put democracy into action.
