Dear friends, The UPA Government at Center is bent upon to weaken the Right To Information Act.and introduced Bill to make certain amendments for which our TDP objected.Now they have constituted one Parliamentary Standing Committee headed by Mr Santaram Nayak Rajya Sabha MP.The committee is asking public opinion on the proposed amendments.We need to send our objections and I have already sent it.The text is given below. Please ensure to appoint the required staff and educate masses on the salient features of the Act.Give more powers to the Officers to punish the guilty and neglecting officers to provide information sought by people. Find out ways and means to simplify the procedure.Appoint fast track courts to clear all pending backlog to instill confidence in the minds of public on the law makers.
