Dear friends, please take the time to read this. Once again I would like to share my thoughts with you. Thoughts about discrimination. The 2nd of June 2007 Denmark played Sweden in Denmark. With two minutes left, one Danish supporter runs into the field. It takes the referee 1 minute and 19 seconds to declare the game suspended. It then takes another 3 minutes and 41 seconds to declare Sweden as winners of the game with 3-0. It is all visible in the clip below. The incident occurs at 2:46, the referee suspends the game at 4:05, the Swedish commentator gets the news about the 3-0 result and announces it at 7:46. Yesterday I asked to people from any country; would your country accept what happened in Belgrade? The answer is no. This shows also that UEFA would not accept it happening to a so called western country. UEFA always says that they stand up against racism, but in my eyes, this is pure discrimination and DISCRIMINATION = RACISM! This should not be accepted in any form and UEFA has shown that they are an organization that does not stand up for the values they say they represent. I hope, that football federations from all over Europe can stand together and say to UEFA that this is not acceptable! I hope, that anyone, no matter what country you are from, should be able to play their sport and enjoy it without being discriminated by his or hers origin. Thank you for reading!
