Dear friends, this is what you can hear today, November 6, in the Europe without Borders radio show on the airwaves of the Hristo Botev programme channel from 3:30 pm EET: - Azerbaijan, a Bridge between Europe and Asia The third International Humanitarian Forum was held in Baku on October 31 and November 1 with the participation of leading politicians, scientists and journalists from all the world. At a time when the refugee wave from the Arab countries to Europe puts at the forefront the question of peaceful coexistence between various cultures, an accent of the show will be the topic of one of the roundtables of the Baku Forum: Multiculturalism and Originality: In Search of Value Consensus in Society. You can hear interviews with Prof. Dr. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the PACE Committee on Racism and Xenophobia and Deputy Rector of the Baku Slavic University, with Prof. Dr. Gevher Bahshaliyeva, Member of Azerbaijan’s Parliament and Director of the Oriental Studies Institute, with the Georgian historian Prof. Guram Markhulia from Sukhumi State University, with the journalist Fardin Issazadeh from Azerbaijan’s Interfax agency, and with Elmira Guseynova, a student of journalism from Baku Slavic University. Among the Forum participants was also Hungarian cosmonaut Bertalan Farkas who shared his impressions of the discussions in Baku and of his friendship with Bulgarian cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov. The show will also air the interview of the student of journalism Spas Kraynin with Boris Rangelov, a member of the initiative committee for Bulgaria’s accession to the European Space Agency. - In the EuroWisdom component, Azerbaijani proverbs presented by Dr. Gulshen Abbasova, Senior Lecturer at the Azerbaijan Tourism Institute. - In the Become a Polyglot component we shall present ideas for the enrichment of the component in the forthcoming third season. We shall offer interesting facts about languages. How some of the European languages were formed, will tell us Assoc. Prof. Alexander Nikolov from the History Faculty of St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University. You can hear how one of the oldest preserved languages, the Udin language, sounds. It will be presented by Oleq Danakari, leader of the Udin cultural centre in the Azerbaijani village of Nidj, Qabala region.
