Dear people of Greece The first time I heard of Killah P was when I was backstage in the Kitaro club in Athens. I saw his graffiti tag and asked about who he was. It was then I heard about the tragedy of his murder. I was deeply moved by his story and I remember when I dedicated a song to him during the show I could feel the people erupt. As a musician it is my responsibility to help heal the world through music. It was for this reason I wrote The Ballad of Killah P. This summer my family was adopted by a huge Greek family and the many nights we spent staring at the stars and feasting with this new family I felt inspired to give something back. I wrote this song sitting on a beach watching my children play and feeling like the luckiest of men. This feeling was stolen from Killah P by selfish monsters who must be stopped. The rise of fascism in Europe is a terrible and scary reality, and I truly hope that with this song people around the world can understand the dangers involved with this rise. Our loved ones are at risk! This massive spread of ignorance is killing the very spirit that makes every day worth living. My heart goes out to all of you who knew Killah P and loved him. May his memory live long and shed light on the sickness that is fascism. United we can destroy this monster and hope that no one will have to write another ballad like this again. Sincerely King Khan
