Dec. 31, 2014 9:30pm San Isidro, Makati City I was dramatically awaken by the horrible sounds of firecrackers when I suddenly remembered promising my cousins days ago that Ill be spending new year with them. Actually, Ive decided to stay in my bed and sleep but I was flooded with text messegas so I get up and rushed to the bathroom to freshen up and left my apartment right away. Spent more than an hour waiting for a taxi to take me to my ates place in Quezon City and started to get mad at myself for not waking up early. I hated it that its already 10:50pm and here I am, still waiting for a ride. I started to get mad at the thought of celebrating New Year in the street all alone while raindrops started to touch my skin. It was then that I saw a bunch of street kids happily running and teasing with each other, clothes torn and grease painted on their face then a bunch of fire trucks rushing and saw the worried faces of those firemen in a hurry to rescue those helpless families with their houses burning. At exactly 11pm I was able to ride a bus. I sat beside the window and my mind started to wander feeling like Im the most horrible person in the world. Im so worried about stupid stuffs while some people will start the year watching the fire steal their shelter, or other people might be spending this day with nothing to eat. Nothing hurts more than the realization that life is never fair and it will never be fair enough. Most people are busy looking for clothes and shoes to wear to bring them good luck this 2015 but as for me...I think Im gonna start leaning on the side of wonder. Delight yourself first, then others can be truly delighted. Start the year with a good thought and goodness will eventually follow. Happy New Year everyone from the bottom of my heart! ^.^ ♥♥♥
