December 14th, a date that I refer to as my 2nd Birthday. It has been 2 years ago today that my life was spared and I received a liver transplant. The Transplant Team in St. Louis called me this morning at 6 a.m. to congratulate me on two successful years without any setbacks. It was great to hear their voices and kind words! I will be meeting my new Transplant Team, here in Dallas, in January for future checkups, etc. Two years ago today and being days away from death and to have my life blessed with a transplant, was truly a Christmas miracle! To the parents/family of the donor...you are in my thoughts often and especially on this day! To my father (in heaven), thank you for watching over me and helping me find my inner strength to never give up during that time in 2012. And as always, I thank my Mother for being with me through that horrific journey. Having lost the love of her life and 3 months later, finding out her first born was dying made 2012 a difficult year. She was with me every step of the way, as my life was ending at a very rapid pace. I love you Mother and you are my best friend!!! I was the third person in line on the waiting list that day when the organ became available. There was a guy first on the list in Chicago and a lady second on the list in Denver and myself being third on the list. We were all three a match but, on that day they had symptoms that prevented them from receiving the transplant, therefore I received the organ. Unfortunately both of their lives ended during the next five days following my transplant and I will be thinking of their families today. Finally, to all my family and friends...I THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF MY OUTSTANDING LIFE AND I THANK YOU FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN MY DAYS..Jus Sayin
