These are old notes that I found in the trunk of my car that I took at Life Church.. Natavias Ervins, Kevin Kringel, Norma Ramirez Borrero(Jeremiah) Ryan has been in my life since he was 10 years old.. Everywhere he goes they make him a leader.. He was a junior leader in kids Corps.. He was a student leader in 623.. When he went into ROTC at Auburn High School he was promoted to corporal.. Even when hes doing the wrong thing people follow him.. God made him a born leader... He keeps running away from it but it always goes with him...Genesis 32:22- that night Jacob got up and took his two wives his two maid servants and his 11 sons an crossed the ford( a ford is somewhere that you can cross a river.. Thus Rockford is a place where you can cross the Rock River.. That river to me symbolizes the two sides of Rockford.. The west side generally symbolizes lack and poverty:. The east side is the side of town where the city generates most of its money) after he sent his family across and all of his possessions Jacob was left alone and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.... When the man saw that he could not overpower him he touched the socket of Jacobs hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. Then the man said let me go for it is daybreak. But Jacob replied I will not let you go unless you bless me... And the man said what is your name? Jacob, he answered( which means deceiver ) then the man said your name will no longer be Jacob but Israel because you have struggled with God and men and you have overcome.. This passage this scripture has always reminded me of Ryan... He keeps wrestling with God because he doesnt want to be who God says he is... He keeps running away
