Deep awakening or enlightenment is not just adopting a new bunch of novel Advaitic philosophical thoughts and beliefs about reality. It is not about hearing someone espouse these philosophical ideas that seem convincingly true to you on some intellectual level and that you then consequently adopt and repeat as being the truth about reality. An abstract pronouncement ABOUT reality is not reality itself, no matter how passionately it may be believed in. Deep awakening or enlightenment is a completely new and revolutionary DIRECT EXPERIENCE of reality on every level of your being that normally arises from concrete spiritual practice, which is itself experiential and not merely intellectual. It is about actually living a whole new life. It is not just in your head.
