Defying Gravity. Part 7. Paige’s POV As the three of us warm up in a private room my heart starts to race. I’m more nervous then I normally would be because I don’t know how Abby will react to us going behind her back. We entered as an individual outside of a studio meaning they announce us by our names. Abby could find out what we did easily. “Okay guys ready? I think we need to practice the lift and flip at least once.” Kendall suggests. We do so gently and then huddle. “Okay now remember they will announce us as number 313, Mackenzie, Sioux and K with Jet Set. It’s not what we’re used to hearing so make sure we enter the stage when that occurs.” I look at Nia and she nods. We hear a knock on the door and all turn to see Jill poke her head in. “We need to get you guys to the stage.” She smiles. We all join hands and head towards the stage. As we enter back stage we hand our jackets to Jill and she rushes to the audience. I look over towards the other side of the stage and see Chloe and Maddie talking. I look around for Brooke but I don’t see her anywhere. “Do you guys see Brooke?” I whisper. “Yeah she’s over there behind Maddie.” Kendall points. We head up towards the front curtains on our side but are careful to make sure they don’t see us. “Here’s entry 311, from the Abby Lee Dance Company we have Everybody Knows.” The competition director announces and Chloe takes the stage. “Chloe’s the lead?” Nia whispers in my ear but I barely hear her. I’m so proud of Chloe and her amazing skill. As the trio comes to an end I feel Kendall grab my hand. The girls exit on the other side of the stage and my eyes meet Chloe’s. I utter a simple smile as the stage manager tells us to get ready to take the stage. 5+ likes for more. ~TUCBIDG
