Deighton Blog Deighton is a small village, with a population on 308. [2001 Censes] It lies on the A19 approximately 5 miles south of York and 8 miles north of Selby. Deighton has a popular pub, The White Swan which is open Monday to Saturday 12noon till 11 p.m. and on Sundays 12.00 p.m. till 10.00 p.m. Food is served daily from 12.00 p.m. through till 9.00 p.m. and on Sundays 12.00 p.m. till 8 p.m. The pub offers an evening quiz on Thursday evening from 9.00 p.m. All Saints Church is open for service every Sunday in Deighton and it is advised that you view the notice board for further information. Deighton does have a Methodist Church building however it is no longer in use and the property has been previously up for sale with planning to change into a home. Deighton is in close proximity to the village of Escrick, which offers many amenities.
