Delegate List:Attah Accuses PDP Of Manipulation As the intrigues towards the 2015 gubernatorial elections continues to gather momentum, the feud between former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Arc Victor Attah and Governor Godswill seems to have no end as each is not resting on their oars to achieve control over the political machinery in the State. In a meeting held at his Shelter Afrique residence attended by aspirants and political bigwigs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some members of the APC, Ex Governor Attah alleged that the delegate list paraded by the State Party Exco was a fake one while also describing the Paul Ekpo Exco as a fake one also. Arc. Attah emphasized that there is so much hunger in the State while unemployment is at an astronomical high level adding that those who are meant to make up the delegate list for the upcoming 2015 gubernatorial primary have been excluded. While describing the PDP as not a one man Party, he called on Chief Akpabio to give back the Party to the members. “There is no PDP in Akwa Ibom State and we want the Party back in the State. They must listen to the people and do the way of the people” Attah said. He informed the gathering that the National Integration Committee, set up by the Party at the National level will be in the State tomorrow and called on Party faithful to make their presence available, a platform which he said will be used to present their case, asserting that “we want re-integration for re-positioning”. According to him, stakeholders of the Party should be made delegates other than the present delegates paraded by the Paul Ekpo led Exco while describing the Party from the Ward to Chapter in the State as fake and therefore demanded for a genuine Party Exco. Others who spoke at the gathering including Sunny Jackson, Senator Aloysius Etok decried the non-inclusion of stakeholders in the list of delegates seeking for a re-integration of genuine names in the list. Among those present at the parley included Bishop Sam Akpan, Larry Esin, Otuekong Sunny Jackson, Member representing Etinan Federal Constituency, Mr. Dan Akpan, former AKHA Deputy Speaker, Obong Okon Uwah, Obongawan Rita Akpan, former Council Chairmen, House of Assembly members and Councilors from year 2000 to 2007.
