Department of Immigration & Passports BD Functions Issue of International Passports to Bangladeshi Nationals. Issue of Travel permits to Bangladesh national falling destitute abroad as per instructions of the Government. Issue of Certificate of Identity to aliens. Issue of Diplomatic Passports (through this function is performed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs). Blacklisting of Bangladesh nationals for passport facilities. Impounding / revocation/ cancellation of Passports as per rules. Grant of visas to foreign national visiting Bangladesh. Grant of Road Permit (RP) to foreign nationals. Grant of Landing Permits to foreign national arriving without visas. Blacklisting of foreign nationals for visa facilities. Printing, procurement, supply and distribution of blank Passport, Booklets and Forms. Supply of blank Passport Booklets to all Bangladesh Mission abroad. Reply/ communication of Government decision in all policy and procedural matters relating to issuance of passports and visas on reference from Bangladesh Mission abroad. Supervision, control and co-ordination of the work of all consular wing of Bangladesh Missions abroad. Any other duty assigned by the govt. of Bangladesh.
