Depression is a very serious business. It takes the lives of many awesome people....The suffering that one goes through is terrible....and without proper medication and therapy a life can be snuffed out in a heartbeat....Its not about sadness per se....The sadness is what is manifested from the disease....The chemical imbalance in the brain is what causes the profound sadness and loss of hope....Its nothing you can snap out of or get over.....I know.....I have suffered from this debilitating disease for 23 years. Since 2001, I have been stable. However, there are some setbacks here and there....I tell you all this because this disease knows no economic barriers, race or creed. It attacks many and from out of the blue. Most would never guess I have suffered from this because I am usually happy....Dont ever downplay anyone that you know that may be suffering from a suspected depressive episode. It can really be the difference between life and death....RIP Robin Williams, you will be missed...:(
