Closing Date: 21 June 2013 at 12h00 Monthly stipend: R3000.00 The Department of Arts and Culture invites applications for Internship opportunities that currently exist within the Department. The Programme will run for a period of 12 months. Requirements: Unemployed graduates who have successfully completed a 3 year Degree or a National Diploma in any field specified below and who are between the ages of 18 and 35 years may apply. The following are the internship opportunities that currently exist within the department: Title Positions Requirements (Degree / Diploma) SA Heraldtry & Symbols Authority 2 Graphic Design International Relations 2 International Relations Directorate: Language Policy Dev and Implemetation 2 Language Practice or equivalent Directorate: Cultural Development 6 •Perfoming Arts – music, Dance, Drama, or equivalent •Fine Arts, Crafts or equivalent •Project Development & Management •Intellectual Property Law Directorate: Translation and Editing 3 Language Practice or equivalent Directorate: Youth 3 •Arts or equivalent •Social Development or equivalent Directorate: Multi-Media 5 •Publishing / Literature Studies or equivalent •Audio Visual Arts, Broadcasting or equivalent •Performing Arts Technology or equivalent •Design or equivalent •Visual Arts or equivalent Directorate: Heritage Promotion 4 •Heritage Studies or equivalent •History or equivalent Important: •Applicant should not have had previous formal employment related to their ñeld of study. •Only candidates who have not previously benefited from an Internship programme will be considered. •The Department will not make provision for transport andl’or accommodation any candidate, whether traveling from or outside Gauteng Province. •The Department will not provide accommodation for any appointed candidate from or outside of Gauteng.
