Derry Sceal Please take time to read this status from Aine Mclaughlin .. The active targeting of POW / Internee families by the sectarian militia of the RUC continues unabated , met with silence from the well paid Stormont collaborationists... Disgraceful antics becoming altogether more prevalent as state Stormtroopers get their kicks from abuse of women and children. The Quislings should hang their heads in shame as they condemn injustice abroad while ignoring it on their doorsteps.. Anyway, Aines status.. Please share far and wide: Just putting this post up now- as I now have time to do so. Sunday 23rd February, 2014 @ approx. 09.45am. My 3 children and I began our journey from home to visit Daddy/ Hubby interned in Maghaberry Jail since 18th December 2013. As we made our way down we were talking, singing and listening to the baby babbling and repeating the words we spoke to him, all in good humour and excited to see the one person missing from our family home and lives, Daddy (DD), we love this visit as it is the only one we get each week and this visit lasts for just, a miserable 1 hour. We were just coming off the roundabout heading to the jail, when on the hard shoulder I noticed cars parked, now this is nothing out of the ordinary as there usually is many cars parked, but just as I passed - out came a marked police car, who came right up behind us in the car, tailgating me, I drove carefully along, just as I passed the turn off for the train station the cops put the sirens and lights on - once they done this the 2 older children became panicked and frightened, they were asking me all sorts of questions - are they following us? are they looking us to stop? whats wrong Mummy? I just told the wanes to be calm, its ok, I dont think there looking us, well I had hoped they werent looking us, I believed they may have been looking to overtake me as a few cars had been flying past us. But no! they continued tailgating us, lights flashing and sirens blazing! I was quite happy to continue driving until I reached my destination - Maghaberry Prison, but the children were now afraid, knowing that the scum were right behind us and following us!! the children said will they stop us? what if they ram us and stop us Mummy? Both older children began saying to me, voices trembling Mummy please stop, in case they hurt us! seeing the wanes faces I knew they were petrified and so on my wanes wishes I pulled in sooner. I told the wanes not to worry - it would be grand. Just outside the B&B I became stationary - a female officer approached my window - telling me that she was stopping me under the Justice and Security Act, Section 3 - now I asked her to explain what this meant, as a member of the public I wasnt aware of the meaning of this section, and on what grounds was she stopping me and my 3 children? she refused to give myself a proper explanation - though she did state that she and her colleagues have the right to stop anyone in Northern Ireland! she then tried being sweet to the children, saying hiya kids the children just ignored her and her smiles! but I continued to ask for a proper explanation - she refused to give me what the section meant or what reason/grounds had she stopped me. She asked me for my name, dob, address - I just told her that I presumed she already knew these details, and that was why she stopped me! she told me that I had to give her these details, I have to admit I aint fully aware of section 3! but I know they do ask all above and movements, under the J&S Act, so I gave the details asked for above, she asked where I was coming from and going to - home and Maghaberry were the answers, she disappeared and the male officer said to me you said your going to Maghaberry, are you visiting Damien? which I replied yes I am, with a proud head and a smile, he asked how many visits do we have, is he sentenced or remand? he then tried being nice to the children, the second eldest child had a toy gun in the car and was just carrying on, when the cop said to him hi you need to be careful with that gun, you dont shoot someone! the child just looked at him..he asked the child his name, to which he replied mines the same as my Daddy - with a proud voice and a smile, going by the cops face and his reaction he wasnt too happy looking, he just said another one! I believe he wasnt expecting an answer as the children remained quiet through it all... but my 11 and 8 year olds have always been told to stand up to bullies, and this is what my 8 year old son had just done! the female officer came back and asked me for my drivers licence and insurance, I dont have my licence as the cops took it whilst they seized the family car, both mine and DDs licences were in the car, I told her this, she asked, why did they take it? what station is it in? when will I be getting it back? she said now understanding that I am not fully aware of the case, it doesnt make sense? I just said sure I havent a clue where it is nor why it was taken, but my solicitors will deal with it, she still insisted that I produce my licence to the nearest station within 7 days or I will be prosecuted! she then asked me if my licence was in date, sure I havent a clue as they have my bloody licence, she said we can contact the dvlni and I would advise you to do the same, because if your licence isnt valid you can also be prosecuted as it is an offence to drive without a valid licence... I dont need to produce insurance as they got it on their system. She handed me a producer notice for my licence. I was constantly keeping a check on the time as our visit would be starting soon...Then the male officer came back and asked me, who owned the car - I told him he already knew these details, as they stopped me, he asked again, to which I replied I do, Why? he said it was registered to a (...................) and do I know him? did I know his name? I hadnt a clue who, what or why? I just said that I am the registered keeper of the vehicle, and why was he asking me that? he just smiled and said thats all, have a good day! it was now over, as the cops walked away - the children sighed loudly!. We drove off, and the ruc/psni followed us once again, we got to Maghaberry car park, late, late being that we still hadnt got the baby ready for the visit, we still werent booked in etc. as we all got sorted the cops circled our car, and lapped the car park, as we were getting onto the bus, they were sitting right behind our car.....Now the children have been stopped on various occasions but it was the way and manner in which they done it, that scared the children. The children and myself all remained in the car during this and they never searched the car either, for stopping us under the Justice and Security Act, sec. 3 ?? A few hours after our ordeal - my 8 year old son was admitted to hospital as he was covered in a raised rash, very itchy and parts of the rash were like blood spots that did not clear under a glass, he was admitted with suspected Meningitis/ Septicemia, the Doctors done blood tests and still they cant explain what the rash is, however the child has been put on an antibiotic to hopefully clear this rash, and discharged from hospital. I believe that this rash developed as a result of the child being traumatised on this occasion along with all the other times. Its his wee body dealing with stress, anxiety and fear. I have spoken to the solicitors in relation to all above. Hope yous understand for the late status, thank you for taking the time to read this.
