Despite the threats facing the nation such as Islamic terrorism from the likes of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the intentional or unintentional spread of life-threatening diseases such as the Ebola virus, as well as the ongoing drug and contraband trafficking across the U.S. borders, President Barack Obama has failed to offer his own blueprint for border security, according to GOP lawmakers in a statement on Monday. As a result of the Obama administrations laxity and lack of interest in border security, U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, released what he described as his committees “Blueprint for Southern Border Security.” The congressman [McCaul] is taking the initiative that should have been taken by Obama and his so-called national security team and offer the American people more than just deception that is easily recognized by law enforcement at the federal, state and local levels, said a director of security, who served for 25-years as a police official. Director Dennis Olivieri told the Examiner that Obamas administration officials charged with securing the homeland are resorting to cooked statistics and slogans that just dont hold up to scrutiny.
