Details for Sundays Graff Battle, Showcase, Blackbook Battle: For Artists Selected to Battle/Showcase/Judge Check in will begin at 11:00. Be there early to get your cans and find your spot. Location: Tempe Beach Park Time: 12-4PM, Sunday March 23rd Setup-Each battle participant will paint on 2 4x8 primed panels set up side by side (essentially 1 8x8 square to paint on) set up like a cube (BRING A STEP LADDER!!) The cubes sit about a foot off the ground so a step will be needed. Each artist is allowed to bring their own paint to the event (Event will provide 4-5 cans per artist) Each Showcase participant will get to paint 1 4x8 easel for the event. Cans-Each artist will receive 4-5 cans to paint Theme-You can paint your name, characters, etc. You will be asked, however, to draw a word out of a hat (this is a positive youth event) to incorporate into your piece. It doesnt have to be huge, it can just be in the form of a saying, rhyme, ETC. Painting will go from 12-4:30. Judging will start at 4:30 to give judges enough time to announce the winners 1st place will get $150 bucks and cans, 2nd place will get cans (number TBD) Blackbook Battle: Bring 1 to two completed full colored pages depicting MyFest Winning piece will be used for next years flyer.
