Developing story out of Berkeley this morning. 18 year old, teen shot on gas station parking lot by a police officer. Few details are out right now, but this story from Huff Post cites witness statement of the person with the victim. According to the victims friend, they were approached by an officer who claimed they fit the description from a crime earlier. The victim, Antonio Martin, refused to allow a search of his person, and then refused to lay on the ground when ordered to do so by the officer. The officer backed up, repeated his command, then shot Martin. There has been no statement from police officials. I should stress, the account given is from the friend of the victim. Im sure more details will be available as the day progresses.
