Devotion for July 15,2014 Touched by the Savior. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace. Until we have been touched by the Savior, we can never be completely whole. Until we have placed our hearts and our lives firmly in the hands of the living Christ, we are incomplete. Until we come to know Jesus, we long for a sense of peace that continues to elude us no matter how diligently we search. It is through God that we discover genuine peace. We can search far and wide for worldly substitutes, but when we seek peace apart from God, we will find neither peace nor God. As believers, we are invited to accept the peace that passes all understanding (Phil.4:7). That peace. of course, is Gods peace. Let us accept His peace, and let us share it today, tomorrow, and every day we live. We will never be happy until we make God the source of our fulfillment and the answer to our longings. As for me (Shirley), I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
