Update on the Saturn vue mess! I chatted online with a GM rep. Wend. night. They said someone from the transmission service dept would call. Well, tonight they did and there was a RECALL on them (7 years ago). GM wants them off the roads because the transmissions are junk and they are no longer manufacturing the transmissions. so the new ones the transmission shop (Waterloo transmission for those in this area) have been putting in are factory rebuilt..not brand new like they have been telling me. if i would have been directed to go to a GM approved mechanic from the car lot (Parkway Nissan in Dover), they would or at least should have told me this issue. GM cant help since everything has been done away from GM shops. I went to Parkway to complain about it and they said they will talk to manager at car lot and the transmission shop on Monday and let me have a loaner van until this mess is fixed but they would prefer if i didnt smoke in it. I would prefer to have been sold a non-recalled vehicle! my advice to those that live in tuscarawas county is dont buy from parkway as they dont care about what they sell and dont go to waterloo as they lie about what they are putting in your cars!
